Only a few weeks away from the debut performance of MIYAMOTO- the hybrid mashup/dj/band experience taking the stage at Safari Sams in Hollywood. Its looking to be an exciting night as we are planning a numbing audio visual show for the evening.

Miyamoto was something formed after the Bootie SF show. The guys who dressed as Mario/Luigi are now more invovled in the show, even performing live mashups using wiimotes, a guitar and keyboard. The energy on stage will reflect on the dance floor, giving the stage presence of a band with the mixology of a mashup dj. Beyond just blending of music. If you are in the area for this event be sure to check it out as it will be nothing like you've seen or heard before. More information at BootieLa.com

After such a great response in SF for the Wiij performance, Bootie invited us to come down to LA for their sister club and perform there on August 4th at Safari Sams. Details are still be worked out but this looks like its going to be an even bigger stage show with just as much crazy mashup and Wiij fun! If you are in the area mark it on your calender and show up that Saturday night for alot of fun and a huge party!

More details will come in the short future!

Bonjour!

Well I just made it back in town from doing some Wiijing at Ubisoft Quebec's Anniversary party in Quebec City. What a great bunch of people up there! I had a blast hanging out with them and seeing the city! I ended up doing 2 sets, one in the earlier evening and one in the later evening. In between sets they had the house band at their office known as "The Ubiband" playing. They did some pretty good rock covers!! Overall it was a fun trip, made some Canadian fans and will have to make another tripout there quite soon!

DJ ! made an appearance on this weeks podcast of The Wiire and discusses DJWiij.com and Wiijing. You can download the complete episode from the Wiires website below.

Also, there is a mashup using the Wiire's theme song and 311's "Down" featured at the end of the podcast made by myself for the show, and I've decided to upload it to this site so people can individually download it if they please. I sent them the track after recording the show and havn't heard any feedback on whether they liked it or not, so I'm guessing they didn't lol... oh well, I thought it came out pretty good considering I was using a 30 second theme song and I wanted to hurry and get it done for them before they finished producing the show, so it is what it is...maybe they were expecting more remix than mashup, but oh well, at least they are in the same key :)
